Tulip's Scenery
Luxurious railway carriage since 1897
Situated in a private road on the Park Copse End of East Beach on the Selsey peninsula, Tulip enjoys a perfectly unique and tranquil position away from traffic and tourism. The beach is charmingly natural, strewn with shells and pebbles, and features the occasional weathered wooden fishing boat. Palm trees and colourful houses give the beach a Mediterranean feel, and on a fine day, the sea is turquoise against the blue sky. Selsey is an active fishing port and the Selsey crab a well-known local speciality.
The beach borders on the Pagham Harbour Nature Reserve, which features besides the shingle beach salt marshes, copses and lagoons. It is a paradise for birdwatchers. Walkers can enjoy long peaceful walks.
